Welcome 2015 + A Holiday Editorial

I hope each and every one of you had an amazing holiday spent with loved ones. It's been a while since I've checked in here, and I am absolutely guilty for neglecting this space the past few weeks. Truth is, this holiday season simply got the best of me. I came into it strong, with big plans for the blog, collaborations with friends and local businesses, but all that I could handle was managing my family life and my full-time job. To add to the hustle and bustle of the season, our household caught the notorious "flu like" bug and spent most of the Christmas break recovering from it.  But enough about what could've been, and off to a fresh new start.

What better way to kick off the new year than with this fun holiday editorial shoot for Event Magazine Huntsville.  Ginny, Chelsea and I took these photos a few months back and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Ginny was truly able to capture the fun and excitement that the new year brings.

This past year was filled to the brim with blessings and opportunities, and I can hardly wait to take the reins and start growing and developing them into successes. With that, I am sharing some of my goals (I am not much of a resolution girl, since I always end up breaking them within the first month week from when I set them. Ooops!) for 2015.

* be more patient, or simply be patient
I am one who is guilty of acting on impulse. I need to learn that short cuts are not always the best paths to take. Take my time and enjoy the journey instead of always rushing to get there. Rome wasn't built in a day.

* prioritize quality vs quantity
I am starting to learn that it is not how much you have, but more about value and longevity.

explore more
Not just for the sake of the blog series, but just in general. Step out of my comfort zone and step into the unfamiliar. A camping trip deep in the woods with tents and campfires is a goal of mine this year. Yes, I am already feeling extremely anxious and scared just thinking about it.

* commit to health & fitness
I signed a contract for a year of lift.tone.burn at Pure Barre, and I am starting the year off by attempting to complete a 60 day challenge. Key word: attempt

* create and inspire
The blog has introduced me to so many creative and inspiring people and some of the most amazing vendors that I can't wait to collaborate with. This year, I am hoping to launch a project with a couple of fellow creatives (could this be a branding hint?) that's been brewing for quite some time.

*find balance
This is the year of doing, and it is going to be hectic and crazy. The only way to come out of it successfully is to find balance in my everyday task.

Whew! This must be the most I've ever written on a post. I hope I did not bore you with all the words. Thank you so much for following me on this journey and, I can't wait to share 2015 with you all!
