 The Fam and I took a quick weekend trip to see some friends in Ohio with a quick pit stop in one of our favorite cities, Nashville. Before continuing our trek to Ohio, we decided to check out one of the coolest spots in the city - Pinewood Social. Because we were so busy enjoying our yummy breakfast and soaking in everything this place has to offer, I forgot to take photos of the interior. Ooops! Summer Essentials

Now that  summer season is right around the corner, I have started to gather most of my summer essentials. Living in the South, summers can get really miserably hot and humid. Soft, light and airy will be key to my summer outfitting.

Farmer's Market

One of the things I am excited about whenever Spring rolls around, is the Green Street Farmer's Market in Downtown Huntsville. Besides being able to shop local and eat local, it is also such a great place to discover up and coming artisans. This is where I first fell in love with a tea company (formerly known as Samovar Gardens) Piper & Leaf. This year, I may just have to keep on coming back for  macarons from Whisk Small Treats. Hmmm...tea and macarons? See a trend here?

At Sunset

One of the challenges of blogging is making time to take photos for your post. Lucky for me, I have a super supportive husband (turned personal photographer) who can take quick in-the-moment snaps. If there is one thing I've learned from photography (well, mainly looking at other people's photos), it's that it is all about the lighting. I think they call it the magic hour? So when the said awesomely supportive hubs came and got me to take some quick backyard snaps, I immediately threw this dress on  to catch the "magic hour". What is your photography secret?
